Destination Weddings
I just got back from a wonderful vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. On the plane ride home, I started thinking about the Destination important Destination factors to consider when planning a destination wedding.
1. Weather / Time of Year
Make sure that it is not the rainy or hurricane season, as this could really put a damper on your wedding! Check the calender as well to determine holiday weekends (local/regional too!) and spring break. Airline tickets and hotel rates will be priced to reflect availability and popularity during these times of year.
2. Ability of Guests to Travel / Travel Convenience
Think about your youngest and older guests when booking your venue. Determine if it is a destination wedding deal breaker if your Grandmother and two year old Niece cannot make the trip based on accommodations and or traveling distance. If so, consider getting married closer to home. Also, multiple flights, connecting between boats, trains and buses may be challenging for many, regardless of age.
